Light lift week one

This weeks focus -

"To still the mind, breathe in, breathe out. Feel the rhythm of your breath, the song of life, pulsating as you breathe in and out, in and out." (1:34 Yoga, power and spirit by Alberto Villoldo, PH.D)

This week use your focus and let the breath energise and bring clarity to the change of seasons this week. Take this sutra into your practise and feel it reconnect you with what is important. Move with love, kindness and gain strength in that.

In your balance postures trust gravity to naturally ground you and reach high through your spine. Let the body move to find space and rather than hinder it with grip to the outside world let the movement lengthen you. Don't let the foot disturb you as it floats up and down until you find what feels vibrant and steady.

In your meditation practise - Focus on the sensation of your breath around your ribs. Notice the back, sides, the feeling around your waist and spine. Notice the link between your bottom and top so you have a clear, steady connection flowing all the way along your spine. Then practise breathing with this clear connection.
